Job description

We have a new opportunity to be part of our Programme team in the role of Project Planner.

As a Project Planner, you will play a key role in creating, maintaining, and communicating realistic and strategic timing plans across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working cross-functionally with Design, Manufacturing, and Operations teams, you will help to ensure that each project progresses according to plan—contributing directly to our objective of consistently being a top team in the FIA Formula One Constructors’ Championship.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive project timing plans, sequencing tasks and activities required to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Updating plans regularly to reflect current progress, baseline project milestones, and assess any deviations in timing.
  • Identifying and communicating project risks and opportunities, ensuring key stakeholders are informed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Producing and maintaining project health and status reports, using appropriate tools such as Power BI or other reporting platforms.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across departments, attending planning meetings, and proactively driving progress.
  • Designing and refining planning tools and reporting solutions that enhance project visibility and coordination.
  • Managing the overall project portfolio and ensuring full integration with business systems.
  • Supporting and contributing to a continuous improvement culture within the planning function.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Excellent working knowledge of mainstream PPM software (e.g. Microsoft PWA, Primavera P6, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies—formal qualifications such as Prince 2, APM PMQ, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with Power BI or similar tools for reporting and dashboarding.
  • A good amount of experience in a planning or coordination role within automotive, aerospace, motorsport, or high-precision engineering/manufacturing.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Clear and respectful communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing shifting priorities.
  • Committed to upholding Health & Safety standards and operating in a professional and compliant manner.

This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
