Job Title: Project Planner

Location: South Yorkshire – Dearne Region; travel to various project sites as required.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, plus benefits including car allowance, 33 days holiday, and auto-enrolment pension.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and overseeing new build construction projects, typically ranging up to £15 million in value. This role requires close collaboration with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will be supported by the Senior Leadership Team within the business and you will be working from Pre Construction phase all the way through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using MS Project. Experience with Asta and Primavera will also be considered.
  2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  3. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation strategies.
  4. Prepare regular reports and updates for stakeholders, highlighting project status, risks, and issues.
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  6. Attend site visits at the start of the pre-construction programme and subsequently once every one or two weeks during project delivery.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as a Project Planner in the construction industry, preferably with new build projects.
  2. Proficiency in MS Project is essential; experience with Asta and Primavera is advantageous.
  3. Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and scheduling techniques.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Must be located close to our head office in South Yorkshire and willing to travel to project sites as required which can be anywhere within the UK.
  7. Experience in delivering New Build and Refurbishment projects as a Site / Project Manager.
  8. Valid UK driving license.
