Job description

MERITUS are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our client in Portsmouth on an initial 12 month contract to work within the Defence and Space industry. PLEASE NOTE - This is a Hybrid role in Portsmouth with 3 days a week onsite. Candidates must have sole British Citizenship.

Project Manager - INSIDE IR35 - £60 PER HOUR - 12 MONTHS - PORTSMOUTH - HYBRID - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Initiation
  2. Project Planning
  3. Project Execution
  4. Project Monitoring Controlling, Closing of projects
  5. Delivering complex secure communications infrastructure and services.
  6. Managing projects in accordance with the project lifecycle standards & accountable for the quality, cost and schedule performance of the project

Essential:

  1. A good understanding of the PMI Project Management body of knowledge.
  2. A basic understanding of AGILE project management.
  3. Solid experience in a similar role of approving initial briefs/baselines, delivering projects and supporting bids in an engineering environment. Ideally, this will be the communications, aerospace, space or defence industries.

Desirable:

  1. A degree or equivalent in project management, business management, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. A good technical background to support your project management role.
  3. STEM degree or equivalent.
  4. PMI/PMP certification.
