Project Manager - SCRUM Master

We are exclusively partnering with an emerging technology developer based in Ely on their latest recruitment drive which will see the company double in size. A startup, in R&D stage, financially backed by a wider global organisation, that innovates and creates exceptional products, technologies and services that will improve the lives of people while collaborating with some of the UK's leading research-intensive universities. Within walking distance of Ely train station this role is accessible from both London and Cambridge within 1 hour. The successful candidate will be at the centre of a high-performance R&D Team that operates under the core SCRUM principles.

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday (option to work from home on Wednesdays)

Hourly Rate / Salary: Above market rate to secure best talent!

Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, after 3-years of successful performance, it will carry an additional 1-day of annual leave for every additional 3-years of service until the total annual leave reaches 30-days a year, Contributory Auto-Enrolment Pension Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme, paid membership fees for Sports Initiatives, Performance based Share Options after 3-years of employment.

Duties:

  1. Clearly identify and layout project requirements, delivery timelines, costs and compliances.
  2. Develop detailed project plans as a guide for staff members and project teams.
  3. Actively revise and enhance projects based on changing needs and requirements.
  4. Identify & assign project tasks based on skill sets, experiences & strengths of team members.
  5. Monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  6. Compiling and submitting project status reports.
  7. Support management in the technical, commercial evaluation & appraisal of the business.
  8. Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices.
  9. Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organisation.
  10. Resolve conflicts and issues that occur.

What we are looking for from you:
  1. Ability to create a central source of truth for your work and your team's work.
  2. Ability or skill to solve problems collaboratively by approaching it through new perspectives.
  3. Ability to approach problems logically (critical thinking).
  4. Ability to analyse and think quickly and to resolve conflict.
  5. Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum.
  6. Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not.
  7. Experience with successful Agile techniques.
  8. Ability to work with and lead a team.
  9. Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  10. Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  11. Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
  12. 5+ years of full life cycle experience in R&D of Commercial Products and Technologies.
