Project Manager - Mechanical Engineering - Combustion

The COMPANY

The ROLE
Due to continued growth of their business, an opportunity has arisen for a talented Project Manager to join their successful team. The Project Manager will be responsible for executing projects from inception to conclusion, which will include confirming equipment selection, coordinating schedules for drafting and manufacturing, maintaining a cost budget, and handling technical and commercial correspondence.

You will be responsible for delivering a project (ranging from 50K to 1/2M) from order through to commissioning - on time and under budget! This role will involve:

1. Client meetings
2. Some international travel
3. Arranging manufacture/production schedule
4. Working closely with the buyer to get the best price

Basically, assuming responsibility for getting the job done.

The minutiae of the role will include:

1. Reviewing shop order file and confirming scope of supply
2. Confirming equipment selection
3. Coordinating drafting for the job
4. Establishing and tracking the cost budget
5. Maintaining delivery schedule for the job
6. Coordinating all required technical and commercial correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
7. Notifying the Accounting Department when billings are to be sent.

The CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be a talented professional Project Manager with experience preferably within a similar environment allied to the desire, ability, and confidence to forge a career within a market leading organisation. You will require:

1. A Mechanical Engineering background & qualification
2. Project Management/Engineering experience
3. Ability to interpret engineering duties
4. Fabrication/welding knowledge an advantage

Salary: Depending on Experience + Excellent Package
