Project Manager - Maritime & Shipping - London

twentyAI have partnered with a globally respected ship operations and management organisation with a diversified portfolio of vessels and a total fleet value in the billions of dollars. The business is quite deep into a significant digital transformation, particularly within its finance and technology function, as it seeks to modernise systems and processes.

Role Overview:

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of systems and process improvements as part of a broad digital transformation programme. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage a wide variety of projects and help to deliver business change. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating unstructured environments and skilled at engaging with diverse stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans to ensure projects meet defined business objectives.
  • Drive project execution, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain processes for scope management, quality assurance, and risk assessment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders, detailing strategy adjustments and progress.
  • Collaborate with other project managers and finance teams on interconnected workstreams.
  • Oversee the implementation, testing, and integration of new finance systems, including ERP solutions.
  • Ensure effective service transition through structured hypercare support and ongoing system stability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operational processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in project management delivering business benefits within transformation or change programmes.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end projects with business facing PM experience.
  • A hands-on, delivery-focused approach with excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the aptitude to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in managing multiple workstreams in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environments.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Technical knowledge of finance systems and platforms; exposure to tools such as Azure DevOps is an advantage.
