Job description

This is one of the UKs most successful and progressive construction businesses based in the North of England.

We are working closely with the senior management team to find a suitably experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to deliver schemes as the business expands in Yorkshire and the North West.

With a large percentage of projects being in the Industrial and Manufacturing sectors, experience of Project Managing this type of construction with values in excess of £10M is essential.

As Project Manager, you will have full responsibility for the scheme, feeding into the regional Contracts Manager, overseeing all aspects of construction phases ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  2. Manage project resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment.
  3. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of workmanship, addressing any issues promptly.
  4. Maintain clear communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of large industrial and manufacturing developments is essential.
  2. Degree in Construction Management or equivalent.
  3. Proven experience as a construction Project Manager with a main building contractor delivering schemes of £10M+ as No.1 on site.
  4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, materials, health & safety, and contract administration.
  5. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
