Job description

Our client, a well-known Tier 1 contractor, is seeking to employ a Project Manager to work on their new framework at Stanstead airport.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing precontracts, aviation minor civils, engineering, pavement, site clearance, and land civils earthworks. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering within the aviation sector and a proven track record of managing complex projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project requirements are met, including customer satisfaction, SHEQ standards, and stringent construction standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of the project, including design, engineering, construction, handover, and commercial aspects.
  2. Oversee subcontractors and direct staff to ensure compliance with company procedures and health and safety policies.
  3. Conduct site inspections and manage site documentation.
  4. Implement risk and value management processes.
  5. Provide clear communication and direction to internal staff and external consultants or contractors.
  6. Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and performance to ensure targets are met.
  7. Develop and maintain key customer relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
