Project Manager (Engineering/Construction)

Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm & Fridays, 9am to 4pm

Project Manager required for a successful independent engineering organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy an autonomous role working on high value bespoke projects where no 2 days will be the same.

To apply for the role, applicants need to have experience managing projects within a mechanical/construction environment. They can offer excellent training and development opportunities.

The successful Project Manager will have good working knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks, hold a Prince 2 or equivalent management accreditation, and have qualified knowledge of health and safety. Candidates that hold a SSSTS or SMSTS are invited to apply; you will be consulting with the company's customers, so excellent communication skills and attention to detail are key.

As a Project Manager, you will feel confident managing projects from cradle to grave. Working as part of the BID team, you will be accountable for scheduling the delivery of materials to site and ensuring that all works are completed on time and within budget. It is essential that health and safety, and environmental standards are maintained on site.

The Project Manager Role:

  1. Managing Projects from cradle to grave up to £2.2 million
  2. Cross functional liaison with external and internal parties
  3. Planning the organisation and execution of materials to site
  4. Seek to improve all aspects of quality of the product and service provided
  5. Minimizing costs and maximizing value
  6. Travelling to customer locations when required

The Project Manager Required:

  1. Project Manager from mechanical/construction background
  2. Knowledge of CAD/SolidWorks
  3. Knowledge of Health and Safety on site, CSCS card or similar
  4. IT literate
