Location: Leamington Spa

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Reporting to the Head of Vehicle Engineering, you will have accountability in planning, executing and controlling project delivery.
2. Skilled in both Risk and Task management of a cross-functional engineering team, within Quality, Cost and Time controls.
3. Conversant in the use of Project Management tools, metrics and schedules.
4. Act as the key interface between EDAG and the customer(s) with professional communication skills to present and interact.
5. Regular reviews and reporting of project performance (KPIs) at steering committees, project reviews, etc.
6. Direct and liaise with technical design/engineering resources to achieve project goals.
7. Lead customer quotations, calculations, budget phasing, and resource planning in fields of application.
8. Coordinate cross-functional reviews for the resolution of technical issues (Ishikawa, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys).
9. Provide interface for all functions within the project team.
10. Demonstrate EDAG's excellent reputation via working directly and seamlessly with customers.
11. Other tasks as assigned by your manager.

Requirements

1. Degree educated in relevant field; ECUK registration would be beneficial.
2. Six Sigma Black or Green belt qualified or similar qualifications.
3. Extensive Project Management experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
4. Effective leadership, organisational, and teamwork skills in a global team environment.
5. Ability to handle responsibility for delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strategic thinker, looking to push technological boundaries.
7. Broad technical knowledge - Strong vehicle engineering experience.
8. Effective in solving problems, driving unique value for clients through awareness of market trends.
9. Familiarity with Automotive Product Development Processes (v-model).
10. High level of analytical ability, where problems are unusual and difficult.
11. Proven people management and project leadership within a matrix organization.
12. Able to influence strategic and technical direction.
13. Able to manage and maintain planning, financials, and reporting out regularly.
14. MS-Project and MS-Office proficiency.
15. Willingness to travel to customer and supplier locations when required (National, International).
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with German as a plus.
