MetLase provides bespoke engineering solutions to complex problems where precision and speed of deployment are critical. We are now recruiting for a Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of bespoke engineering projects. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and a deep understanding of engineering principles to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the commercial performance of projects, coordinating with stakeholders, and leading cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies.
• Monitor and report on the commercial performance of projects, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial goals.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues.
• Ensure that projects adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to address them.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
• Assist in the procurement process for all new suppliers and subcontractors requested by the team and support with procurement of off-the-shelf and subcontracted project items and services.
• Ensure all project documentation is completed to support ongoing ISO 9001 certification.

Candidates must be qualified in Prince2, APM or equivalent and have proven experience in a Project Management role, ideally within an Engineering environment. Candidates must have the ability to produce complex project plans, be proficient in the use of IT, have excellent time management and organisational skills and have a high level of attention to detail. You must be a team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
