£39,105 - £45,163 | Full Time | Permanent | 35 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays & Closure Days

About the role

The University is now seeking to recruit a Project Manager to work as part of the Service Assurance and Compliance Project Management Team in Technology and Information Services (TIS). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a progressive and cutting-edge University in a beautiful location.

As a Project Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are customer-focused and aligned with the University's strategic goals. You will support business change and stakeholder engagement activities, contributing to ongoing business planning.

You will be working in a dynamic IT environment with the opportunity to engage on a University-wide basis.

There is the opportunity to either work fully office-based, or hybrid up to three days a week remotely. Flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.

About you

You should possess a recognised project management qualification (such as APM or PRINCE2) and demonstrate a strong track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders. You should also have proven experience in delivering solutions within an Agile IT environment.

In addition to this, you will also have:

  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in a project (full project life cycle) environment
  • Experience managing technical / IT projects
  • Experience working in a dynamic customer service environment
  • Experience creating complex project plans and managing milestones
  • Experience liaising with customers face to face/by telephone/in writing
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience drawing on professional/specialist knowledge to solve presenting problems
