Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Canterbury, Kent
Project Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working

Salary: 70K - 82K

We are seeking an experienced and talented Project Manager to manage multidisciplinary projects and their associated activities from conception through to completion. This role is project-based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.


About the Role

You will:

  • Manage allocated multidisciplinary projects ranging from 5M to 20M, covering pre-construction through to completion.
  • Deliver work that meets project requirements, with a strong focus on quality finishes.
  • Report to the Operations Manager while overseeing Site Managers (SMs) and Senior Site Managers (SSMs) as direct reports.
  • Take responsibility for successfully delivering education projects under JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Project Manager with:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Tier 1 contractors.
  • Proven expertise in education projects, with a track record of delivering schemes ranging from 10M to 40M.
  • Strong experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Exceptional client management skills and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes.

Key Requirements

  • Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant technical discipline, or professional equivalent.
  • Significant experience managing multidisciplinary projects, particularly in the education sector.
  • A strong understanding of commercial factors affecting project performance.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams of SMs and SSMs.
