Structural Investigation / Survey Project Manager at the GBG Group, Cambridge.

Are you a talented Project Manager / Engineer with a passion for site investigation, condition assessment, remedial design, field work and innovative engineering?

GBG Group are a market leader in structural and geophysical site investigation. A privately owned engineering specialist offering bespoke building remediation investigation, testing and consultancy services on historical and modern buildings across the UK and internationally.

We’re seeking a proactive Project Manager to join our team at Cambridge, helping us to investigate structures, protect buildings and preserve monuments throughout their life cycle.

About the Role:

As our Project Manager, you'll be a key part of our operations, working alongside Senior Project Managers, Site Investigation Engineers and Technicians. You’ll be instrumental in leading structural site investigations survey teams, non-destructive testing and materials sampling.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to receive training in our investigation consultancy practices to fine-tune the best of your skills with our support and experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage structural investigation site surveys and testing.
  • Carrying out non-destructive testing and intrusive material sampling.
  • Processing site survey data, preparing technical reports and method statements.
  • Undertaking site visits, risk assessments and client liaison.
  • Contributing to fee proposals, contract reviews and team support on site.

You’ll need a full UK driving licence and a willingness to work on projects across London and East Anglia, with the potential for future work abroad. With prior project management experience gained in a site investigation or remedial design environment on existing buildings and refurbishment schemes.
