We now have exciting permanent opportunities for motivated and suitably qualified Project Managers to join our Technical Communities based in the South West of England. Join us and be part of making a valuable contribution to the mega-infrastructure, Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).

Responsibilities:

  1. The Project Manager ensures delivery of all (or part of) engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule.
  2. Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces to the other elements of the programme.
  3. Drive the delivery of the contract or package activities to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, to budget, meeting business and technical requirements.
  4. Monitor and manage the progress of the programme - track progress against milestones, deadlines, budget and provide key stakeholders with reports on these matters.
  5. Apply the principles of Continuous Improvement.
  6. Develop, manage and update (with the project controls team) project and programme plans including full costing, resource management, cost management of risk and critical path review, using appropriate software and tools.
  7. Manage the change control as the project/programme scope changes, using the correct processes and updating the necessary configuration documentation.
  8. Understand project control methodologies and processes for programme and project management.
  9. Apply the principles of Earned Value Management (EVM).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  1. Preferably Degree/HND - Civils, Building or M&E related.
  2. Preferably chartered (CIOB, ICE, IET, CIBSE, etc).
  3. PM Qualification or proven experience of operating within recognised PM delivery methodology.
  4. Proven experience of managing construction/manufacturing related projects.
  5. Experience of managing NEC and/or FIDIC contracts.
  6. Able to demonstrate strong management skills including financial, risk, change, engineering, and schedule.
  7. Appreciation of Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements in a highly regulated environment.
