Job Description Summary

At GE Vernova’s Power Conversion UK Ltd. we have a steeped heritage in design and manufacture of complex electrical motors and generators serving customers around the globe in a wide range of sectors such as Marine, Oil & Gas, Naval and Industry.
Reporting to the Lead Project Manager, working within the team to manage the GE equipment (specifically for Marine Product, Dynamic Positioning Vessel Control) process between acceptance of an order through to System Test, liaising with project managers, drawing office and engineering.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate process from Invitation to Order (ITO) including:
  • Interpreting engineering designs, drawings and Purchase Technical Specification, closely working with System Builders and Engineering.
  • Generating orders and pick lists based on above documentation.
  • Coordinating logistics to get GE free issue to System Builder and then to Systems Test.
  • Bulk purchasing components, specifically used in the build of Marine Product equipment.
  • Manually forecasting requirements of known contracts, alongside prospects and flow business, ensuring sufficient stock available in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining stock materials in SAP.
  • Understanding of stock processes.
  • Expediting open orders.
  • Work closely with System Builders to ensure as best as possible that deliveries into GE, Rugby are in a timely manner and within budget, maintain planners detailing build schedules.
  • Abide by relevant health and safety requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Previous experience using SAP (preferred, training will be given) and Microsoft packages.
  • Hands-on ability to handle multiple priorities in a logical order in a high demanding environment.
  • Good communication skills interacting with various departments and levels.
  • Works well in a team.
  • Ability to work independently and with own initiative.
  • Analytic capabilities.
