PROJECT LOGISTICS MANAGER – STAFF - SURREY

Our Client, an advanced technological and engineering platform for the design, construction and operation of safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants contractor, is currently looking for a Project Logistics Manager to join the team based in Surrey starting in January 2025.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Candidates must have experience working as a Logistics Manager or Co-Ordinator within the construction engineering industry.
  • Expertise in coordinating offshore vessel logistics, including mobilization, customs clearance, material handling, and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of HSE, security, and local regulatory compliance for waste disposal, crew changes, and supply operations.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors, maintaining service records, and managing invoices and payments.
  • Proficiency in inspecting, tracking, and managing offshore-certified materials, ensuring safe storage, delivery, and rotation.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills to liaise with vessel management, supply chain teams, and subcontractors for efficient project execution.

JOB SCOPE

  • Liaise with vessel operations management, POM, competent authorities, subcontractors, and various functions involved in the supply chain management process to ensure that project equipment & material mobilization/demobilization, customs clearance, tracking, handling, storage, and final delivery onto offshore vessels are executed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the fleet and supervise Marine Agency services, customs, and, when required, immigration formalities, food/fuel/fresh waters/material supply, and solid, liquid waste disposal, and crew changes in accordance with project requirements, corporate guidelines/procedures, and HSE/security requirements.
  • Support the project in accordance with the logistic plan and/or method of statement, coordinate logistics team and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with VMT and POM to coordinate marine fleet inward/outward formalities and customs, arrange for vessels navigation and operational permit/authorization according to local rules and regulations.
  • Arrange and provide for any type of supply that the marine operating fleet could require.
  • Support vessel management/HR to coordinate personnel and crew changes and fulfill immigration formalities.
  • Supervise solid/liquid waste disposal services related to offshore installation vessels and liaise with HSE function to obtain all related licenses and permits.
  • Supervise and keep updated records of services rendered by local subcontractors in accordance with contract/agreement provisions.
  • Ensure that all materials received are in good condition through visual inspection and provided with the necessary documentation for safe handling and storage.
  • Ensure that equipment available is fully certified for offshore utilization and suitable for proper consumables/material rotation/transportation.
  • Maintain adequate care and custody of materials and support in defining and optimizing storage requirements.
  • Coordinate with Vessel storekeeper, VMT, and Project Engineers to deliver and distribute standard materials offshore in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensure proper material tracking upon delivery from/to Logistics base and from/to the final installation vessel.

RATE: Please quote what salary you would be looking for.

DURATION: Permanent.

WORK PATTERN: Hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days working at home.
