Job description

Job Title: Project Leader

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £45,628+, depending on skills & experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the maintenance of obsolescence management plans, risk assessments and reports
  • Coordinating obsolescence events from identification through to resolution or mitigation
  • Complying with contractual requirements and undertaking work in accordance with governance procedures
  • Supporting the flow of obsolescence requirements to suppliers and the review and monitoring of their deliverables
  • Advising and mentoring on the application of obsolescence management activities and techniques appropriate to each phase of the Engineering Life Cycle
  • Supporting the development of obsolescence resolutions by maintaining the appropriate toolsets
  • Leading and supporting a team of professionals

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable Project Management experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience with the ability to guide and influence
  • Previous experience leading a team

Desirable:

  • Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. APMQ or Prince2)
  • Experience in Obsolescence management
  • Knowledge of the Engineering lifecycle
  • Proficiency with Team Centre and SAP
  • Awareness of Risk management

The Spares & Obsolescence team:

This diverse role offers wide exposure across the business and involvement in different technologies across the build.
