Job description

Title:
Project Lead Engineer (Civils)

We have a new opportunity for a Project Lead Engineer to support the delivery of an extensive programme of work comprising of new build facilities and refurbishment.


Working within the Engineering team, you will support the technical assurance activities associated with the design and implementation of Onshore and Marine systems for the project.


What Do We Need
  • Knowledge and experience of civil/structural engineering.
  • Experience with the design and assessment of typical industrial steel and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Knowledge of current codes and standards including British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Knowledge of current UK nuclear regulation and relevant good practice.
  • Theoretical and practical skill and experience across concept design, detailed design and construction stages in heavy industrial and/or maritime civil engineering structures.
  • Experience of working in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defence), particularly in the design and assessment of safety-related structures, systems and components.
  • Project engineering of work packages, including site implementation/integration, within a highly regulated environment.

Location

The role will be primarily based in Glasgow City Centre with occasional site visits to Helensburgh.


Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.
