STADA UK - Thornton & Ross -Project Engineering Manager

Huddersfield|United Kingdom (GB)|Full-time|Permanent

In the role as Project Engineering Manager you will lead the Site Annual CapEx program and drive technical Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and line trials for new product development (NPD). Collaborating with the Global Head of Engineering, you'll optimize assets and enhance purchasing power across STADA. You'll also provide project and technical support across all UK sites.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • You will lead the Project Engineering Team and be responsible for alle employee development related topics
  • You will maintain comprehensive financial control of the CapEx project portfolio throughout its lifecycle and ensure they are adhere to global STADA project management processes, completing them on time and within budget
  • You will define and implement effective internal and external tracking processes and reporting structures for the projects and related financials, based on a “cash out” approach.
  • You will implement best practices to ensure robust project delivery controls with subcontracted service providers
  • You will ensure projects are supported with necessary documentation and training for quick production capability
  • You will promote a safety culture by encouraging accident reporting and conducting risk assessments in project management
  • You will ensure that all practices are compliant with GMP, comply with government and inspectorate guidelines
  • You will maximize the benefit of integrating new and emerging technologies within the manufacturing facility
  • You will identify and implement projects aimed at enhancing safety, quality, efficiency and capability

What We Are Looking For

  • You hold a degree in engineering or any equivalent and have at least 7 years of Project Management experience in Engineering functions within the pharmaceutical industry
  • You have Project Management Qualifications such as APM, PMQ or equivalent
  • You are experienced in leading complex projects independently and were also part of other projects, always with a strong success track record
  • You bring significant knowledge of Design and Construction projects, including GMP facility design and GxP process equipment, utilities, etc.
  • You are familiar with manufacturing processes and equipment within pharmaceutical operations
  • You have outstanding technical knowledge with demonstrated ability to deliver safe and fully compliant technical solutions
  • You are experienced in developing/implementing project management programs and/or systems
  • You have an understanding of key non-technical business processes, such as Human Relations, HSE, Quality or Regulatory Affairs
  • You are able to mentor your team members, communicate effectively with different stakeholders and also present to senior management
