Do you have a good understanding of metals processing? - Machining, Fabrication or Sheet metal manipulation for example.

Are you looking for a projects focused role where you will take the customers brief from design, costing and quotation through to design and production?

The basics:

Location: Caerphilly

Salary: Up to £50000

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm and Friday 8am to 1pm

Holidays and Benefits: 35 days holiday, Pension up to 6% paid by employer, free onsite parking, uniform, Life insurance.

Overview:

We now require an additional Project Engineer to join the team. Working for a large manufacturing business that has sites across the EU, you will be working in the metals processing department which consists of CNC Milling, Sheet metal and Fabrication machinery.

As the Project Engineer, you will be working in a technical role managing projects for the customer from start to finish, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.

You will create manufacturing route cards to ensure the best methods of manufacture are logged whilst liaising with internal departments and managing any external resources required for the project.

The ideal candidate for the Project Engineer - Metals Processing may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  1. Knowledge of processes such as - sheet metal manipulation, machining or fabrication.
  2. Excellent inter-personal skills.
  3. Competent working with Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  4. Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation required for manufacture.
  5. Working knowledge of AutoCad, Solidworks or Inventor.

Commutable from Caerphilly, Blackwood, Cardiff, Newport and surrounding areas.
