Now Hiring: Project Engineer – Landscape Construction
Pierre Landscape is a leader in commercial landscape construction, specializing in union, prevailing wage, and public works projects—including schools and municipal facilities. We’re currently seeking a Project Engineer to support our Project Managers on multiple active job sites. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive, and ready to grow with a stable and respected company.

Position Overview

As a Project Engineer, you’ll work closely with a Project Manager on active projects at any given time. You’ll support execution from start to finish—including planning, document control, coordination, and communication with field crews, clients, and vendors. This role requires experience working with union labor, prevailing wage contracts, and public agency documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager in managing commercial landscape construction projects
  • Work on union-required jobs (e.g., schools, public works)
  • Handle submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, T&M tickets, and document control
  • Review and interpret plans and specifications
  • Track and maintain DIG alerts
  • Coordinate deliveries and equipment
  • Facilitate job site meetings and check job status in the field
  • Maintain compliance with job requirements and documentation standards
  • Communicate regularly with field personnel, vendors, clients, and internal teams
  • Use the following tools:
    • Procore
    • Sage 100 Contractor
    • OST (On-Screen Takeoff)
    • Bluebeam
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Construction Management preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the landscape construction industry in a Project Assistant or Project Engineer role
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to visit job sites for meetings and site checks
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
    • Procore
    • Sage 100 Contractor
    • OST
    • Bluebeam
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of:

    • Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Daily Reports, T&M Tickets
    • Plan and Spec interpretation
    • Project documentation and reporting
    • Estimating and takeoffs
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and follow-up skills
  • Highly organized, results- and process-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Experience with prevailing wage and union jobs required
