At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEM’s in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery. Job Description

What will you be doing?

  • Support of the project team and the project manager within a new development project
  • Product costings
  • Simultaneous Engineering with supplier and internal manufacturing
  • Scheduling of tasks to meet milestones according to target baseline
  • Coordination of tasks related to different departments within the company (Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Assembly, Testing, etc.)
  • Summarising and presenting information for key stakeholders (e.g. senior leadership)
  • Preparing project Quality Gates
  • Co-ordinating and planning workshops (e.g. innovation, cost)
  • Assist with logistics around supply of prototype parts
  • Work on cost reduction tasks which improve the company profit margin on currently released products.
  • Support ramp-up of new business.
  • Assist in the development for PEP projects by working with other departments to achieve milestones through continuous support and simultaneous engineering
  • Assist in achievement of target costs and requirements
  • Drive cost reduction tasks to improve profitability of existing products.
  • Drive customer projects to completion
Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Work experience, ideally within product development projects or other engineering projects
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Problem solving abilities
