Project Engineer – Sunderland
Location: Sunderland, UK (Hybrid Working Available)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a major COMAH infrastructure business working on critical UK energy projects, including CCS, Hydrogen, and alternative energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery – Manage projects from initiation to completion.
Cost Control – Oversee budgets, contracts, and spending approvals.
Project Execution – Develop Project Execution Plans (PEPs) aligned with company procedures.
Contract Management – Define completion criteria, create closure plans, and handle contractual documents.
Risk & Quality Management – Identify and mitigate risks, manage non-conformances, and drive quality improvements.
Scheduling & Reporting – Track progress, costs, cash flow, and generate internal & external reports.
Stakeholder Coordination – Attend client meetings, lead internal/external project meetings, and manage contract scope changes.
Project Closure – Assess costs, document lessons learned, and finalize project closure activities.
Minimum Requirements
HND or Degree in Engineering
Project Management qualification (PMI, APM, or similar)
Strong background in Construction, Mining, Nuclear, Rail, Refinery, or Chemical industries
