Job description

Role: Mechanical Project Engineer

Salary: £28,000- £45,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, please advise what you're looking for)

Type: Permanent

Location: West Sussex

My client designs and manufactures a range of products for the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors and they are looking to take on a Project Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the West Sussex area.

Attributes:
  1. Degree/HND/HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar (or qualified by experience with strong Project Engineering skills having worked in a technical environment)
  2. 2 years or more of industry experience would be desirable working in a similar project role
  3. Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  4. Very good attention to detail
  5. Confident in your own Engineering knowledge and skills
  6. Knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office programmes (MS Excel/MS Project) would be an advantage
  7. Excellent communication skills
  8. Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
  9. Flexibility to travel as required to customer sites, both in the UK and abroad
Responsibilities:
  1. Working within the company's Projects Department under a Project Manager
  2. Supporting important company contracts (engineering, material supply, and quality control)
  3. Co-ordinating and executing projects
  4. Working closely with site management teams
  5. Reviewing sub-contractor bids including the technical aspects
  6. Reviewing drawings
  7. Drafting purchase order specifications for equipment and material purchase
  8. Traveling in both the UK and Worldwide as the job requires to meet clients
