Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a leading Media and entertainment business to support with their search for a Project Engineer. You will lead major projects, delivering advertising assets across the transport network. As a multi-disciplined Project Engineer with a civils or structural bias, you will provide technical expertise, design coordination, and quality assurance while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
Provide engineering insight, confirm project scope and align technical requirements with project objectives.
Assist Project Managers in ensuring smooth project execution, identifying potential delays and implementing mitigation strategies.
Review and approve engineering designs for electrical, civil and communications systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, resolve technical issues and ensure quality and safety compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, clarify technical details, and oversee contractor performance.
Ensure all projects meet legal, health, and safety regulations, particularly within rail, highway, and public infrastructure environments.
Experience required
Successfully managed civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering projects, ideally within rail.
Experience managing site installations, commissioning, and large-scale infrastructure rollouts.
Experience handling large CAPEX projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial oversight.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in line with British Standards, CDM Regulations 2015, and site safety best practices.
Strong ability to manage contractor relationships, liaise with internal teams, and present technical information clearly.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
