Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Review client purchase orders and attachments, as well as Sales handover documentation.
2. Issue job instructions and liaise with internal departments and specialists to ensure completion.
3. Develop and monitor project schedules for effective project control.
4. Monitor the development of Quality Plans to maintain high standards.
5. Draft material, fabrication, and equipment purchase order requisitions and specifications.
6. Review sub-contractor bids, including technical aspects.
7. Distribute and review drawings and documents, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
8. Compile and control necessary contract variations, status reports, and shipping lists.
9. Liaise with clients to ensure equipment meets specifications and negotiate for additional requirements.
10. Manage sub-contractors to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
11. Collaborate with client's site management team and Construction Manager/Supervisor for contracts involving erection.
12. Undertake duties and responsibilities as directed by Projects Director/Project Engineering Manager.
13. Travel internationally for meetings with clients and suppliers.

Skills & Qualifications

1. Qualifications to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline preferred.
2. Strong project engineering or project management background within a technical environment.
3. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
4. High standard of analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
5. Good commercial acumen.
6. Extremely organized with excellent attention to detail.
7. Able to plan, manage, and prioritize workload effectively.
8. Works well under pressure with accuracy and efficiency.
9. Proactive with a drive to improve processes and business performance.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team.
11. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with foreign clients and suppliers.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially MS Excel.

This role requires a product background, ideally an engineer who has some product and project background that can interact with the client planning and communicating progress on projects.
