What you'll be doing as the Project Engineer:

Reporting to the project's director, you will support all elements of project execution, including project tracking (both timescale and financial), project engineering, customer liaison, project purchasing, and expediting with operations. Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Exciting Projects: Oversee project plans, ensuring they meet contractual requirements while identifying and mitigating risks with effective contingency plans.
  • Drive Documentation: Manage and produce high-quality project documentation, ensuring all internal records and drawings are accurate and fit for purpose.
  • Keep Finances on Track: Work closely with the finance team to support project accounting, ensure milestone paperwork is completed on time, and keep invoicing on schedule.
  • Be the Key Communicator: Conduct thorough contract reviews, ensuring all project requirements are met and communicated effectively.
  • Collaborate with Engineering: Work alongside the applications engineer to ensure all technical and engineering requirements are delivered successfully.
  • Coordinate Operations Smoothly: Liaise with purchasing to secure materials and subcontractors on time, work with Quality to maintain contractual compliance, and align with planning to meet delivery deadlines.

To apply for the Project Engineer position, you will need the following:

  • Project engineering experience gained in the manufacturing or defence sectors.
  • Good general IT skills, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • An engineering qualification with good numerical skills.

What you'll receive as the Project Engineer:

  • A salary of up to £42,000 per annum.
  • A pension contribution of up to 7.5%.
  • 25 days holiday per annum plus 8 Bank Holidays.
  • Group Life Assurance Policy.

Hours of Work:

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
  • Friday: 8:00 am - 1:30 pm.
