Title: Project Engineer

Compensation: Temporary part-time $27.00

Scope & Responsibilities of Project Engineer: (Not limited to)

The Project Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting with the management and execution, administrative, technical, and financial aspects of assigned projects from award to completion. Individuals in this role will help with various activities offering the opportunity to gain exposure and understanding of Project Management methodologies and processes in a professional environment. Individuals in this role report to the Director Project Engineering.

• Verify project requirements, standards, and documentation are followed.
• Work to ensure projects are in scope, on schedule, and within budget.
• Provide an active role and use critical judgment in the development of all project deliverables.
• Ensure quality and timely submission of all project deliverables and documentation as assigned.
• Assist with reporting on the project status and health, identifying, managing, and resolving project risks and issues, as well as monitoring quality assurance and change control processes.
• Proactively communicate with sponsors, team, and all other relevant stakeholders for each assigned project as directed.
• Support and verify compliance with all contractual commitments defined in vendor contract(s).
• Make field evaluations and/or take field measurements.

Education & Experience for Project Engineer:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited higher education program pursuing an engineering degree or related field.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be available to work up to 40 hours per week consistently.

Other Qualifications of Project Engineer:

• Proficient in general office technologies including Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with management, team members and external vendors.
• Possess above average critical analysis, and logic/reasoning skills and is proficient in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Exercises good judgement with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Successful completion of all company mandated & job-related training programs deemed appropriate.

Physical & Cognitive Demands of Project Engineer:

COGNITIVE DEMANDS: Meet deadlines, focus attention, work independently, independent judgments, work with a team, communication, instruct/synthesize, reading comprehension, critical thinking/troubleshooting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: seeing, speaking, hearing, smell, sitting, walk/climb, stand/reach, listening, writing, driving, keyboarding. Push/pull/lift/carry or otherwise transport 35 pounds.
