Project Director

Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, serving their customers through diverse business units. KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

KBR is currently looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the preparatory phase of an execution opportunity in parallel to KBR's execution of the associated FEED.

Based in Leatherhead and reporting to the Overall Project Director, the candidate will have the primary responsibility for the commercial and technical delivery of the complete execution strategy and associated proposal.

The qualified candidate will have prior experience in greenfield and brownfield work within the NGL and/or LNG sectors and experience working with both fabrication and site subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assuring safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule, and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success.
2. Serving as point of contact between the client, company, and execution phase subcontractors; building strong working relationships with all.
3. Planning execution development, maintaining the plan as necessary, and assuring adherence to the plan. Keeping the client and KBR advised of execution development status.
4. Development of project execution plans in accordance with client project drivers, policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
5. Development of local content plans in line with project goals.
6. Demonstration of robust execution plans to stakeholders (client and KBR internal).
7. Management of project risk to avoid delays or reputational damage.
8. Oversight of all supply chain engagements (procurement and subcontractor) from initial enquiry to final negotiations.
9. Delivery of completed cost estimate to underpin proposal including completion of internal and client reviews.
10. Identification of resource requirements and coordination with resource managers.
11. Deputising for KBR Project Director as required to support delivery of overall FEED and Execution Plan package.
12. Developing and mentoring the KBR team to maintain execution and commercial focus during generation of the execution.
