Overview:

The Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting project management efforts across multiple automotive projects, from new vehicle development and production processes to supplier coordination. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure projects stay on track, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of automotive projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and milestones.
  • Scheduling and Tracking: Maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and update tracking systems. Prepare and distribute regular project reports, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Manage and organize project documentation, including technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality control standards, ensuring all documentation meets compliance standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders, including team members, suppliers, and clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication on project status, milestones, and any changes in scope.
  • Budget Management: Support budget tracking, monitor expenses, and help ensure projects remain within budget constraints. Provide recommendations to optimize project cost-efficiency.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Assist in identifying potential project risks and issues, and work collaboratively with the Project Manager and team members to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Supplier and Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors, overseeing timelines, materials, and delivery schedules to support project requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance project coordination efficiency and support project success in alignment with the company's overall objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience in project coordination, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, especially in a fast-paced, high-demand automotive environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards, supply chain management, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
