Job description

Established in 2022, Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT) is a fast-growing business within the Aston Martin Racing Performance Group. Our vision is to deploy our F1 knowledge and technical expertise to deliver high-performance engineering projects outside of Formula One.

AMPT has already established its position as a technological trend-setter - from producing highly successful automotive composite Body in White programmes to heading global motorsport programmes. As our programme portfolio develops, we are looking for a range of driven, world-class engineers to join us on this exciting journey.

AMPT is based in Silverstone, amidst the widely renowned Aston Martin Racing Technology Campus. With the iconic circuit on one side and rural countryside on the other, the new Campus symbolises our core values: innate competitive desire and a drive for sustainable efficiency, in an environment conceived to nurture innovative and creative thinking.

We have a new opportunity to be part of the Aston Martin Performance Technologies team in the role of Project Coordinator.

As a Project Coordinator, you will support the delivery of AMPT-related projects through efficient organisation, documentation, scheduling, and communication. This is a pivotal role, ideal for someone with a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a passion for high-performance engineering. As part of your development, you may also lead selected projects when suitable opportunities arise.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of all AMPT projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including maintaining accurate project documentation, schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Collaborating with the wider AMPT Team to build and manage project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and tracking progress against timelines and milestones.
  • Providing timely updates and clear communication to team members and stakeholders, including preparing presentations for senior management and coordinating meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Assisting in budget tracking and expense management, working closely with Finance to ensure accurate financial oversight.
  • Leading the ongoing development and improvement of AMPT’s project management methodologies and toolsets, while adapting to customer-specific tools when required.
  • Proactively identifying and managing project risks, issues, and opportunities, and recommending actions to enhance project value and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Delivering general project administration and supporting compliance with company processes and governance frameworks.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering)
  • A good amount of experience in a similar role within a relevant industry sector
  • Previous experience in high-tech engineering, advanced manufacturing, or automotive projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g. MS Project)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a positive influence
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills (knowledge of 8D methodology advantageous)
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German, French, Italian, or Spanish is a plus
  • Results-oriented and confident decision-maker
  • Enthusiastic and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Committed to Health & Safety standards

This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
