Role: Project Controller

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Yearly Bonus + Electric Company Car and EV charging point if required

Role based: Leeds or Newcastle Hire Centre

Travel: You will be travelling to other sites across the North East and Yorkshire

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Controller to join our skilled project team within the Hire And Service Centre business area, predominantly located at our hire site in either Leeds or Newcastle.

You will be managing the delivery of multiple projects at one time, all at different stages of the process, ensuring all necessary measures are taken such that works are carried out in a safe manner, whilst providing effective programme and cost control at all times.

You will build strong relationships with Commercial, Service and Projects teams to deliver projects on time and on budget. Foster and develop sound customer relationships through effective communication to provide excellent levels of service. Excellent Communication is key for this role.

Manage all correspondence, documentation and information relating to project delivery in accordance with the Portakabin Project Delivery and Document Control standards.

As a Projects Controller you will:

• Manage multiple project installations and dismantles ensuring that projects are completed within planned costs and agreed timescales.
• Liaise with other Project Controllers who will also work on the project ensuring clear communication and consistency in approach.
• Where required provide pre-order support to commercial staff to ensure all risks are minimized for post order project delivery.
• Work productively in a fast paced high pressure environment.
• Have experience ensuring all projects are delivered on site in accordance with the Site Operations Manual.
• Monitor performance against deadlines and milestones.
• Foster and develop sound customer relationships through effective communication to provide excellent levels of service.

Essential Criteria for a Project Controller: Please only apply if you have the essential criteria

• Proven project management experience and demonstrable knowledge and experience of financial control in delivering projects including negotiation of terms and final accounts.
• Experience and thrive from managing many different projects at once at different stages.
• Strong all-round technical knowledge - including where possible Building Regulations, HTM’s, HBN’s and CDM.
• Working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
• Experience ensuring all projects are delivered on site in accordance with the Site Operations Manual.
• Make rational judgments from the available information and analysis.
• Be highly organised and be able to plan ahead.
• Have GCSE’s or equivalent level of education, including Maths and English.
• Have a full UK driving licence –You will be travelling within the catchment areas assigned to you.
