Project Architect

Hays is delighted to have partnered with one of Scotland's leading and award-winning architectural practices; they are looking for a talented project architect to join their ever-expanding team, where their employees are valued and people are at the heart of their business.

You will be joining a well-established consultancy, founded over 110 years ago with offices in Glasgow and London. Highly specialised, they are experts in the delivery of advanced education, science and health projects. As a result of this specialisation and their strong return client base, the practice offers a high level of security in their workload and makes a committed investment in their team.

Your first project will be a £30 million higher education development for one of the practice's consistent clients, which is currently going to RIBA stage 2.

As a Project Architect, you will be required to:

1. Carry projects through from concept to completion.
2. Use CAD to produce architectural designs.
3. Liaise with contractors and clients where necessary.
4. Display a high level of understanding of education, health or science design principles.
5. Display a high level of understanding of the holistic build cycle.
6. Produce technical drawings with autonomy.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you:

1. Are highly proficient with AutoCAD.
2. Have RIBA/ARB chartership.
3. Have good experience in either the education, health or science sectors.
4. Have experience working on big budget projects.
5. Have experience job-running projects.
6. Have experience working in a fast-paced background.
