Consultancy - FTC - Hybrid Working - Team Management - Project Accounting

Your new company

I am currently working with a global consultancy company based in London that is looking for a Project Accountant Manager for a 9-month MAT cover. This role will play a key part in handling projects, analysing the profitability, working closely with the Head of FP&A and managing a small team.

Your new role

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  1. Responsible for key projects, providing budgeting and forecasting processes, analysing the profitability of the projects.
  2. Providing updates to the Head of FP&A on the projects - current situation, end of month profitability, analysing where they are against targets and actions.
  3. Responsible for leading a finance team, providing mentorship and development.
  4. Being able to challenge current budget assumptions.
  5. Responsible for monthly reporting, making sure the financial framework is adhered to and performance is on track.
What you'll need to succeed:
  1. Looking for a qualified accountant, ideally having consultancy experience but open on industry experience.
  2. Previous project accounting experience especially around profitability analysis.
  3. Stakeholder management experience.
  4. Team management - managed at least 1 person before.
  5. Previous ERP system experience, SAGE would be ideal.
  6. Great communication, planning and delivering results while having a high level of energy.
