Hays Senior Finance is working exclusively with this manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton to help them recruit a Project Accountant on a permanent basis. Your new role

The Project Accountant job will oversee their financial operations and ensure the success of their projects.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Control of journal entries and reconciliations
2. Preparation of profitability of the projects
3. Completion and analysis of the project Capex and other reports
4. Assist in the completion of the month-end accounting pack
5. Assist in the preparation of the annual audit pack
6. Prepare detailed files for all budget and business plan submissions
7. Work closely with senior members of various teams to control costs, investments and transactions
8. Ensure consistency of reporting of financial KPIs when required
9. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
10. Assist in the completion of Board meetings preparation
11. Detailed analysis and reporting on various projects

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a manufacturing environment, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be confident with using Excel. Although SAP experience is desired, it is not essential.
