SSW is currently recruiting a new Programme Producer, an exciting key role that is vital in producing our programme, delivering our artists residency offer and managing SSW communications.
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (pro rata) depending on experience
Pension: 5% pension contribution
Contract: 0.8 (4 days/ 30 hours per week) permanent – the role includes working weekends and evenings as required
The Programme Producer is responsible for managing all aspects of the SSW programme schedule made up of artist residencies, open access, courses and the Community Making Space programme alongside multiple underpinning activities. They are the first point of contact for all artists interested in our multiple residency offers and for the delivery of the residency programme. They will work with the SSW team to develop and deliver open calls, artists schedules, pre-residency meetings and ensure that appropriate access support is put in place. The role hosts artists on residency and manages the evaluation and reporting of the programme.
The Programme Producer requires a strong understanding of contemporary arts practice and of artists' needs. They should have excellent organisational and facilitation skills, and an ability to build and maintain supportive relationships across a range of individuals, organisations and partners. They should have a strong understanding of supporting artists’ access requirements and be committed to ensuring an inclusive and accessible workshop culture.
The Programme Producer also leads on all aspects of SSW’s communications both online and in print. They will manage the SSW website, deliver SSW social media content and develop programme print. To do this, they will have a strong knowledge of WordPress, Google Business Suite and Adobe packages including InDesign.
