This recognisable, empowering international development charity is currently seeking a Programme Finance Manager (Bids & Tenders) to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis. Managing a small team, you will be the financial lead for the development of all bids and tenders across the organisation, ensuring best practices are being employed, and that the charity is maximising its reach to new donors.

The key duties of this Programme Finance Manager (Bids & Tenders) role are as follows:

  1. Business partner with the Bids & Tenders Development team, acting as the key point of contact and escalation within finance.
  2. Take the lead in the development of budget drafts and consolidation for the more complex and large-scale bids and tenders, working closely with the country teams to ensure all costs have been correctly accounted for.
  3. Consolidate all data from country offices into a donor-facing template, ensuring everything is presented in a professional and accurate manner.
  4. Generate improved budgeting and costing templates for bids in the interest of enhancing efficiency.
  5. Provide critical support to the wider Programme Finance team during busy periods.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Demonstrable experience in either developing budgets for bids / contract proposals or donor finance, ideally within the charity sector.
  2. Strong business partnering and budgeting skills, with a passion for enhancing financial understanding of non-financial staff.
  3. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  4. Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.
