Job description

Job Title: Programme Controls / PMO Consultant

Salary: £43,000 to £67,000
Location:Central London or Oxfordshire (Hybrid working available)

Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Controls / PMO Consultant to join a dynamic team within a leading consultancy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing project control processes, tools, and procedures for high-profile projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive transparency and visibility of progress and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Compile and feed into comprehensive programme and project reports.
  • Provide constructive challenge and undertake analysis to support decision-making.
  • Oversee programme controls, reporting systems, and the development of project management tools (including Power BI).
  • Manage control processes such as change control, reporting, and risk management.
  • Ensure effective governance and assurance across programmes.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven background in project/programme controls or PMO.
  • Strong understanding of schedule cost risk and the ability to contribute to comprehensive reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management systems and tools.
  • Experience in public sector or complex project environments is advantageous.
