Amazon UK Fresh Stores are the first convenience grocery store to offer Just Walk Out Technology in the UK. Our checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by our Just Walk Out (JWO) Technology, which automatically detects when products are taken from, or returned to the shelves, and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. When you're done shopping, you can just leave the store. Shortly after, we'll charge your Amazon account and send you a receipt. Innovation is part of our DNA! We are looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Program Manager with a strong customer focus who wants to join an ambitious, innovative and customer-obsessed program.

As a Program Manager, you will be the glue bringing together cross-functional teams and external partners to realize the customer-centric work Amazon is known for.

Everyone on our team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work effectively in a highly collaborative, start-up environment. Our ideal candidate works back from the customer, facilitating large-scale, multi-platform initiatives from conception through implementation. You expertly manage stakeholder expectations, due dates, and assets because insisting on the highest standards is in your DNA, and because an amazing product is made of those small details. You can balance features, documentation and process with a bias for action. And you have a proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results through indirect influence. This role can be located in London, UK or Manchester, UK.

Key Responsibilities

1. Influence multiple cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines. You are the centre and glue of the program, and can easily work with everyone from designers, tech developers, product managers, stakeholders and external resources to achieve results.
2. Understand the needs of a customer in a physical environment and the Associates who are the face of our business to customers.
3. Think strategically and execute methodically.
4. Bring superior program management skills and ability to assess and integrate new information and requirements into plans and schedules seamlessly.
5. Build, maintain and continuously improve consistent tools, mechanisms, processes, standards and playbooks to enable execution of important deliverables.
6. Highlight and appropriately escalate any bottlenecks that block progress while proposing potential solutions to enable rapid decision making.
7. Earn trust and credibility with stakeholders, management peers and executives.
8. Provide regular, precise and effective status updates on key programs, processes and metrics.
9. Work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.

You will need to have experience in building project plans, managing critical paths and engaging with stakeholders across matrix organisations. Experience of using Asana, Smartsheet and Amazon mechanisms such as doc writing is highly preferred.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
• Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
• Experience in program or project management
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• Experience defining and executing program requirements
• Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Experience leading process improvements
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
