Job Title: Pre-Construction Project Lead – Infrastructure

Location: Hybrid Working

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 base salary plus package (DOE)

Our client is a leading main contractor with a strong financial standing and a proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. Having recently secured a long-term contract, they are set to undertake the largest programme ever seen across the Southeast, with a potential value exceeding £1 billion.

Role Overview

As a Programme Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a transformative infrastructure programme. Working closely with the client, you will help define project objectives and ensure alignment with their needs. The role encompasses technical, commercial, and governance responsibilities, offering a broad perspective without direct pricing duties but with oversight of cost considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to define programme requirements and objectives.
  2. Manage geotechnical surveys, liaise with stakeholders and landowners, and coordinate CDM (Construction Design and Management) information.
  3. Take projects from conception through to delivery, working closely with the supply chain.
  4. Lead constructability reviews, risk assessments, and develop upfront risk profiles.
  5. Ensure governance and commercial processes are adhered to throughout the programme.
  6. Support the development of team members, particularly in commercial aspects.

Candidate Profile

  1. Strong engineering background with significant experience in Pre-Construction.
  2. Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure programmes.
  3. Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and supply chain partners.
  4. Understanding of risk management, governance, and programme delivery methodologies.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
