Program Buyer
Contract role, approx. 6 months
Tamworth HQ, hybrid working maybe available
Daily rate, to be discussed. Outside of IR35
Global Automotive OEM supplier, Tier 1
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of the end-to-end purchasing activities for cutting-edge automotive programs.
- Own supplier quality, cost, and timing, ensuring flawless execution.
- Partner with the Commodity Buyer for strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Manage closed purchase orders and ensure adherence to payment schedules.
- Oversee PPAP timelines, track project hours, and contribute to seamless cash flow management.
Common Job Titles You May Have Held: Program Buyer, Purchasing Program Leader, Purchasing Buyer, or Buyer.
Key Performance Indicators: You'll be a core member of the project team, driving adherence to the Project Management system and ensuring delivery excellence.

Who We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (bonus points for plastic parts experience!).
- Advantageous if CIPS qualified.
- Strong background in 1st Tier automotive, with experience in program purchasing, financial and cash management, and technical negotiations.
- Solid knowledge of company and commercial law.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
