Program Buyer

Contract role, approx. 6 months

Tamworth HQ, hybrid working maybe available

Daily rate, to be discussed. Outside of IR35

Global Automotive OEM supplier, Tier 1

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take charge of the end-to-end purchasing activities for cutting-edge automotive programs.
2. Own supplier quality, cost, and timing, ensuring flawless execution.
3. Partner with the Commodity Buyer for strategic sourcing and supplier management.
4. Manage closed purchase orders and ensure adherence to payment schedules.
5. Oversee PPAP timelines, track project hours, and contribute to seamless cash flow management.

Common Job Titles You May Have Held:

Program Buyer, Purchasing Program Leader, Purchasing Buyer, or Buyer.

Key Performance Indicators:

You'll be a core member of the project team, driving adherence to the Project Management system and ensuring delivery excellence.

Who We're Looking For:

1. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (bonus points for plastic parts experience!).
2. Advantageous if CIPS qualified.
3. Strong background in 1st Tier automotive, with experience in program purchasing, financial and cash management, and technical negotiations.
4. Solid knowledge of company and commercial law.
5. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
