This position is suited to a talented, highly motivated individual with experience in contaminated land and groundwater assessment and remediation consulting, who is interested in contributing to our innovative and challenging projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We expect that you will work on a wide variety of challenging technical projects and will help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities. Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec’s culture. You can expect to work closely with experienced professionals across our UK & Ireland business, who will help integrate you into Geosyntec’s culture and advance your career ambitions.

Your responsibilities are likely to include:

1. Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, meeting project schedules, quality requirements and client expectations.
2. Management of fieldwork tasks including site inspections, multi-media environmental sampling and characterisation, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and management of remediation system operations and maintenance.
3. Management of remediation treatability and pilot tests with subsequent data evaluation, report writing and work plan development.
4. Management, training and mentoring of early career professionals.
5. Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
6. Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
7. Supporting the senior team in client care and development activities.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

1. At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
2. Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
3. Excellent technical writing skills (required)
4. Success in the development and management of clients (desirable)
5. Emerging leadership skills (required)
6. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines (required)
7. Valid driver’s licence and a satisfactory driving record. (required)
