Job Description:

My client is a manufacturer of interiors for the automotive industry and is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team.

Responsibilities include:

• Line manager of 15 to 25 operators who work in the same time frame (shift)
• Ensure QCD indicators reflect customer expectations
• Define QCDP targets for the GAPs (improvement versus actual situation): ppm, pph, TRS, absenteeism, number of accidents, improvement ideas
• Monitor performance during the shift and report accurate data at the end of the shift
• Manage resources to reach results: adapt headcount to volume
• React in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions, build corrective action plans
• Replace GAP leader when necessary
• Drive actions for improvement, seek feedback from the team
• Define areas for performance improvements
• Lead problem-solving activities and workshops (5S, Hoshin, TPM, SMED, 6 Quality Basics)
• Ensure audits of standardized work are conducted daily and corrective actions are taken
• Conduct audits weekly with each GAP Leader to ensure respect of standardized work
• Aim to devote 70% of time to improvement actions
• Assure daily management with permanent presence on the Shop floor
• Manage headcount: plan the day before, allocate people for the next day, and plan weekly
• Coach GAP Leaders and team members
• Ensure discipline and rigor in work practices
• Ensure respect of safety instructions, policies, and procedures
• Participate in the selection and recruitment of staff
• Ensure proper induction of new operators
• Build training plans to increase team autonomy
• Manage annual performance interviews for all team members

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing background or Injection Mould
• Experience in a production supervisory environment
• Experience working with management systems
• Experience managing a team of logistics operators
• Live within a commutable distance to Litchfield
• Willingness to work shifts (including nights)

Salary: £32,000- £35,000 + shift allowance (15% days and 30% nights)
