Our clients are well-established manufacturers who create bespoke solutions for their clients across the UK. They are recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join their growing team!

Production Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support planning for upcoming projects, supervising, training and assigning tasks to the production team.
• Liaise closely with the Warehouse team, monitor stock levels and report any issues including carrying regular stock takes.
• Carry out regular quality checks across all aspects of production and report any defects.
• Pack goods and liaise with the Warehouse Manager to ensure lead times are met, liaising with transport companies as required.
• Complete necessary paperwork and other production administrative tasks.
• Ensure reactive maintenance tasks are reported to the Production Engineer and Warehouse Manager, record and update completed maintenance, method statements and risk assessments.
• Maintain an organised production layout, positioning equipment, machinery and stock to maximize efficiency.
• Follow written risk assessments and method statements, reporting concerns for inadequate planning.
• Support in creating written risk assessments and method statements specific to commonly performed tasks.

The ideal Production Supervisor will:

• Knowledge of working with different metals and manufacturing techniques.
• Have worked within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience of using tools including cutting machines, angle grinders, belt sanders, twisting machines, pillar drills, and lathes.
• Have PUWER, Forklift, EFAW trained or working towards.
• Business Administration skills.
• Understanding/experience of quality control.
• Business process understanding and willingness to work to company procedures, contributing to improvements in efficiency and cost reductions.
• Hold a Full UK Driving License and have access to own transportation.
