Job description
Our client is a Leeds based Manufacturing business looking to appoint a Production Supervisor with continuous improvement / lean methodology training. The Production team is made up of 15 Operatives/Machines Operators, so having experience managing a team of this size would bode well. The successful Production Supervisor must have 3D CAD experience and ideally have experience programming machines.
- Lead a team of 15-20 operatives (sometimes more with the addition of agency staff at peak times) to meet KPI targets.
- Manage continuous improvement projects and take the lead on individual line business improvement practices.
- Liaise with maintenance, design and quality to maintain currently high OEE level and meet production targets for volume and quality.
- Use CAD 3D.
- HNC/HND in an engineering discipline.
- Experience of plastics industry / extrusion / injection moulding.
- Formal lean / continuous improvement training.
