Are you an experienced Production Supervisor with a passion for lean manufacturing, process improvement, and team leadership? This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring efficiency, high-quality output, and compliance with health and safety standards.

About the Role


As a Production Supervisor, you will:

  1. Lead and manage your team to meet production schedules and on-time delivery (OTIF).
  2. Ensure health and safety policies are always followed.
  3. Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing techniques.
  4. Monitor and adjust production processes, troubleshooting issues to minimise downtime.
  5. Conduct regular inspections and audits, ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards.
  6. Manage attendance and performance, providing training and mentoring to create a multi-skilled workforce.
  7. Maintain 5S housekeeping standards and ensure smooth material flow to operators.
  8. Work closely with the Site Manager, providing daily updates on output, quality, and health and safety.

Essential Criteria:


Qualifications:

  1. A recognised supervisory qualification.


Experience:

  1. Recent team leadership/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Ability to read and analyse production schedules to organise and prioritise workloads.
  3. Strong understanding of health and safety standards (IOSH qualification).
  4. Experience in monitoring production processes, troubleshooting, and minimising downtime.
  5. Proven ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  6. Knowledge of working with a wide range of materials.
  7. Experience working in lean manufacturing and ISO9001-certified facilities.

Skills & Behaviours:

  1. Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
  2. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  3. High attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  4. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. NVQ or equivalent in Team Leadership/Supervision.
  2. Lean Manufacturing qualification.
  3. IOSH Working Safely certificate.
  4. Previous experience in an ISO9001-certified facility.
