Production Supervisor

WSR are looking for a Production Supervisor to join the team of our esteemed client based in Milton Keynes.

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: GBP35k to GBP40k

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 am start (41.5 Hours per week)

Reports To: Production Manager

Production Supervisor Job Overview

As the Production Supervisor reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead the manufacturing operations within the warehouse/factory team, ensuring efficient and smooth functioning at all times. This role demands effective team leadership in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate and timely manufacturing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. With a solid background in manufacturing or warehousing and proven team leadership experience, you will be part of the operational leadership team, identifying and sharing ideas to enhance operational performance through collaboration.

Production Supervisor Operational Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Oversee and manage the production team, ensuring due dates are met and acting as an inspirational leader.
• Lean Manufacturing: Apply LEAN manufacturing principles to drive process improvements.
• Quality Control: Oversee quality control, ensuring all goods are made accurately and investigate non-conformances.
• Problem Solving: Launch or support Kaizen events to address production issues with a proactive approach.
• 5S Standards: Maintain a strong 5S standard and support the team in improving their areas.
• Order Fulfillment: Ensure orders are produced and dispatched by the set dispatch dates.
• Stock Management: Conduct accurate stock takes on the last day of every month, recording all stock items.
• Team Support: Share responsibility for team management, including return-to-work meetings, team morale, and participating in reviews and appraisals.
• Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety guidelines and protocols, maintaining Health and Safety and Quality standards.
• Independent and Team Work: Ability to work independently under the Operations Director and as a key part of the production team.
• Motivation and Coaching: Motivate and coach the team to achieve operational success.

Production Supervisor Key Competencies
