This is a great opportunity to join a thriving business who have recently won major contracts in the medical device sector. This role will be well suited to an experienced Production Shift Manager who has worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working on a shift basis, this position will provide you with excellent training opportunities within a secure business environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • To ensure Health & Safety and Environmental working practices are followed at all times.
  • To ensure that quality standards are met and take action where equipment, tooling or personnel are not capable of achieving the required standard.
  • Cycle efficiency, Labour efficiency, Scrap targets, Material usage, Changeovers and Downtime.
  • To provide a detailed shift report to ensure a seamless shift handover.
  • Produce daily and monthly KPI reports.
  • Identify and implement actions to improve safety, product quality, efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage the skills and development of all production staff, including identifying training needs, coaching and promoting teamwork.
  • Training/skills matrix, Holidays, sickness and cover, Appraisals, Disciplinary and grievance.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Managing multi-disciplined teams.
  • Problem solving skills, specifically getting to root cause.
  • Implementation and maintenance of lean principles.
  • Health and safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).
